It's THE REAL REAL Tour + giveaway

No, I didn't mean to say the Real Deal Tour. The Real Real: a novel by Emma McLaughlin and Nicola Kraus went on sale yesterday and tomorrow they kick off their book tour on Good Morning America.

"In their first book for teens, the bestselling authors of the Nanny Diaries take aim at reality tv, where fiction masquerades as fact and the real drama is behind the scenes."

“Really funny, really smart, and really entertaining. I really LOVED this book!”
   — Sarah Mlynowski, author of Bras & Broomsticks and How to Be Bad

Praise for The Nanny Diaries:
“Diabolically funny.”
   — New York Times
“Impossible to put down.”
   — Vogue

The Real Real
by Emma McLaughlin & Nicola Kraus

When Emma McLaughlin and Nicola Kraus penned The Nanny Diaries, they had no idea of how much their lives would change with its runaway success.   They suddenly found themselves in the media spotlight with a bestselling debut novel on their hands, and a lot of attention suddenly focused on them.

Their experience inspired them to write THE REAL REAL--their first book for young adults.  The story begins when Jesse--one of the NOT rich kids at Hampton High – gets chosen to star on the Laguna Beach-style reality show filmed at her school.  Soon she’s forced to pal around with the glamorous kids whose families her working-class parents serve.  But there’s a tuition check attached to being on the show, and at the producers’ insistence, Jesse must trade her actual best friend for four people she’s gone to school with for years, but hardly knows.  As the producers play with their lives to heighten the drama, Jesse must struggle against losing herself amidst the red-carpet hype that is now a part of her daily life and try to remember one thing: the difference between real and the real real.

Emma McLaughlin & Nicola Kraus are the authors of the New York Times bestsellers The Nanny Diaries, Citizen Girl, and Dedication. They live and work in New York City.

Well of course it would have to be Dancing With the Stars, although there would have to be a bit of un-reality there because I would have to look like one of those girls who wears fabulous costumes AND can actually dance!

Please enter me!

I am a blog follower also.

I have always wanted to be on Big Brother. My sisters and I used to joke around how it would be awesome if they had a Big Brother: Teen Edition! Just think of the drama!

I would like to be on a reality show where people go to random places and get others to talk about the books they are reading or The Librarian's Life where we listen in on patron's questions and other goings-on at libraries! Yes, I know they aren't real but I don't watch reality shows so I would have to make one! :) brainlair AT gmail DOT com

Hmm that's a hard one! I would have to say Amazing Race, because it's always been my dream to travel around the world! Or possibly America's Next Top Model because the photos taken there are stunning! Or American Idol since I love to sing (even though I'm not very good at it). Haha you can tell I'm an indecisive person.
