Wednesday Wanderings 4/15/09

I wander around the blogosphere and bring you what I find.
Here are some things that I thought might interest you this week.

First, Kay Cassidy is hosting a Great Scavenger Hunt Contest.  Here is a blurb from her blog: "The Hunt is a brand-new, super easy, totally FREE library outreach program for teen and youth librarians. The program is open to librarians in the U.S. and Canada, in public libraries and school libraries alike. It offers year-round free programming that’ll keep your readers coming back to the library for more."  Tell your local librarian about this!

Author Elizabeth Scott is hosting an Out of This World contest.  Buy a copy of Something, Maybe and get entered.  Contest ends 4/26.

Are you creative?  Create a widget for Stephanie Kuehnert's new book, Ballads of Suburbia, and you could win an ARC!

Bookin with Bingo is having an Awesome April Audio Book Giveaway.  You can enter to win audiobooks of Drood, Beat the Reaper, The Terror and Max.  Enter by April 30th.  She also has a copy of A Reliable Wife to give to one lucky commenter.  This one will end on April 19th.

Bookingmama has a book giveaway for a book I will be reviewing closer to Mother's Day.  2 people could win a copy of Because I Love Her.  This is a book about mother/daughter relationships.  Check it out!  While you're there, read her interview with Earlene Fowler, author of Love Mercy.  She has 2 copies to giveaway!

Trust me, there are many more out there, but today is Tax Day and I know many of you are busy, so I don't want to overwhelm you!  I hope that most of you have already done your taxes and can relax until next year.

Don't forget that I have 2 giveaways going on.  The April Fool's Giveaway runs until the 22nd and I need more comments so we can give away the extra books!  The giveaway for the children's book, Little Skink's Tail ends TODAY at midnight, so enter if you haven't or just help spread the word!

Tomorrow, April 16th is Operation TBD day!  For more information, click here

Until next week...happy entering and read a good one!
