Mailbox Monday - 2/9/09

Mailbox Monday is hosted by The Printed Page.  I had another good week last week.  Considering all of the books I received lately, I'm being very picky about review requests so that I can read what I have and not get too far behind.  Here is what arrived at my house last week:

Last week I posted a review for The Moose with Loose Poops and made the comment that I would love to read the rest of the series.  Thanks to Paula at AME, who I did the review for, and who contacted the author with my request, I received the other 4 books in the series.

The Kitty Series - all 6 books - from Hatchette

Too Tall Alice - by Barbara Worton, from author, via Bostick Communications

Baron Thinks Dogs Are People Too! - by Laurie Dean, from author, via Bostick Communications

Lincoln Through the Lens - by Martin W. Sandler, from The Picnic Basket

Dr. Gott's No Flour No Sugar Cookbook - from Hatchette - this is the 2nd copy I received...?

Dog On It - by Spencer Quinn, from Atria Books

Shimmer - by Eric Barnes, from Unbridled Books

The Wonder Singer - by George Rabasa, from Unbridled Books

Ugly Guide to Being Alive and Staying That Way - by David Horvath & Sun-Min Kim - from Random House

Linoln and His Boys  (ARC) - by Rosemary Wells, from Candlewick Press via The Picnic Basket

Wiggle and Waggle - by Caroline Arnold from CurledUp.com

Good Day, Aggie - by Lori Ries, from CurledUp.com

The Legend of Honey Hollow - by Jeanne McNaney, from CurledUp.com

The Forest of Hands and Teeth (ARC) - by Carrie Ryan, from CurledUp.com

The Anatomy of Wings (ARC) - by Karen Foxlee, from CurledUp.com

Wonderful - by Sydney Heifler, from author

Unpolished Gem - by Alice Pung, from Penguin Group

Across the Pond - by Storyheart, from author

Straight from the Horse's Heart - by R.T. Fitch, from author via Bostick Communications

There were so many books this week that this would have been an enormous post if I had added summaries and pictures.  What did you get in your mailbox?

Wow mine's almost that long. Can't wait to see reviews on the rest of the Dr. Hippo series. That was nice of them to get you the rest.

Its nice to see that I wasn't the only one who got a good haul last week with books. I see we got some of the same titles. Isn't it nice when they send you a complete series. Thats what happened last week for me. Looking forward to your reviews.

A HA! Now that I see all the kids books and check out your profile, I should have known you were a teacher...only teachers do things as nice as you did with your comment about my birthday blog! I am a 37 year retiring in June teacher and so I thank you again. Happy to be following your blog...great job!

Did you enjoy Too Tall Alice and Baron Thinks Dogs are People Too? I got them both last week as well and featured them on my Mailbox Monday, too! I thought they were both great - Baron is so much like my dog, Niko (today she had a shopping day with the girls... the pet store and Walmart... in her stoller!)
